My name is Danxian Li, a sophomore majoring in accounting and mathematics. I'm very excited about starting learning japanese. Actually, I've been looking forward to it for months!
My interest in Japan start from the animations and dramas. I am now watching Bleach, yet my favorite anime is still Tennisの王子様 as it accompanies me as I grow. My favorite actor is 山下智久 and favorite actress is 堀北真希. I do think everyone should watch 野ブタ。をプロデュース, in which they both played. Also, I just finished watching びゃくやこう (both the novel and the drama) and I highly recommend it. Another reason for me to take japanese is that I'm curious about the country and its culture, which is partly originated in China yet is very unique and attractive. And one more thing, for some reason, my grandfather went to a local japanese school. Though he forgot most of them, he still loves old japanese songs.
Unfortunately, I havn't gotten the chance to go to Japan. I wish to spend the following summer there. Of course, this would require hard-work throughout the year, for japanese is known for being difficult to learn. But my love for the language and the culture should help me overcome all the difficulties, and I believe it's the same for all my classmates.
